The Open Golf Society is an inclusive golf community designed to bring golfers together through well-organised events, relaxed competition, and shared experiences.
Our society is open to golfers of all backgrounds and ages — whether you’re a member of a local club and want to play more courses across the season, play casually or are simply looking to expand your golfing circle.
By organising events as a society, we’re able to create enjoyable, social golf experiences across a variety of venues throughout the season — offering structure, community, and better overall value through collective participation.
Join as a solo golfer, with your spouse or with friends — members include both club golfers and non-members.

As the society develops, our ambition is to offer members a broad and evolving golfing journey — from regional society outings to larger away trips, season-long competitions, and immersive experiences designed to deepen both enjoyment of the game and connection within the community.

Members can engage at their own pace — whether attending a single event, following the season competitively, or travelling for multi-day golf experiences.
How It Works
1. Choose Your Membership or Event
Decide whether you want to join as a Founding Member, book one of our upcoming events, or do both together. Members get discounted event pricing, but you can also join events as a non‑member — the choice is yours.
2. Select Your Booking Option
Each event offers three simple choices:

Golf & Membership — join the society and secure your event spot in one go

Golf Only (Member Rate) — for golfers who already have membership

Golf Only (Non‑Member Rate) — play without joining the society
You can book events now or become a member first and decide later.
3. Complete Your Checkout
At checkout you will be prompted to enter your details and let us know if you’re joining with friends or have playing partner preferences. If not, we’ll pair you with other new joiners — a great way to meet fellow golfers.

Members receive updates via email and can follow our social channels for news, results, and upcoming events throughout the season.
Membership
To celebrate the launch of The Open Golf Society, we’re offering a small number of golfers the opportunity to join as Founding Members.
The first 50 golfers will be offered a once-off discounted founding membership rate and prioritised access to our season of events.
The discounted founding membership is just €30 which will give you membership for 2026 and 2027 seasons!!
We've already booked two events for the 2026 season (see event details below). As it's our first year we've left it at this for now, but if interest is strong we'll try to book another event for later this year, but our main focus will be on 2027 and putting together a strong calendar once we have a better idea on numbers.
